Planning
while thinking for a while in my mind I had an idea of what I wanted to do. The word nature came to mind and I started to look for landscape pictures but it also made me want to make a piece that seems something that was not the main picture such as the picture on the left it is a landscape but for me the reflection of the bridge makes it look like an eye and the background makes it seem as an eye looking at nature and the beauty of it. Just like a human eye only that made in a different way or perspective. But it was not the only technique that I wanted to use There was also another Idea that I wanted to use but it would be more related to details rather then technique the picture on the bottom right shows a forest with fireflies for me it looked beautiful but thinking of it carefully I notice it was more about details but it was not actually what i was looking for as to portray something personal. For me a cherry blossom came into my mind it gave me a sense of family, safety, happiness, loved, though cherry blossom does means the beauty of life, it is tragically short but one of the pictures that inspired me was the cheery blossom on the bottom left.

Process, Ideas and Intentions
While thinking and deciding which drawing i was going to do many more ideas came into mind, but then decided to do the cherry blossom tree. As for why i did it is something personal that i wanted to convey in this piece, as in Vincent Van Goghs painting the thickness of the tree was one of my inspirations as for Claude Monet´s painting i wanted to have a scene a story to tell this block print was not only about the cherry blossom when looking at the sky in this block print i used movement to have that kind of feeling in starry night only that in my own style.
Explanation of the Block Print
In the drawing the petals of the flowers are more visible then in the block print but the reason i decided not to have all the petals is because it was related to my personal experiences just as Vincent Van Gogh who decided to do the painting for his brother Theo for the new born child. Now to explain the block print and the story behind it, and what it means to me as you see in the sky the inspiration was from starry night by Vincent Van Gogh i decided to used movement to have relate to the struggles i was going through and my problems. This piece has many meanings and symbolism to it, as to how the shape of the trees is, the reason i did it this way was because looking form the top to the bottom of the tree this makes it look like an hour glass, i made a combination with the shape and the cherry blossom trees, the cherry blossom meaning represents fragility and the beauty of life, in which it is a reminder that life is almost overwhelming beautiful but is also tragically short. having the hour glass represent this made me want to say that family and friends are really important and are not going to stay by our sides all the time which makes sense with the meaning of the cherry blossom, the reason to why i then wanted to do this was because when looking at the meaning of the cherry blossom It made me realize that it was true, loosing someone you love a family or a friend is not easy i now this because it has happened to me before. the petals represent that i still have hope but the ones that are falling means that the hope that i have is not going to last long as for the triangles they are the sunshine that still illuminates my path to keep on going as for why one of the trees is white from the inside means that i show two personalities trying to show that i´m ok and nothing is wrong as to the bottom one is dark but it has white meaning that i have some hope to be ok yet again i fall in my dark and negative thoughts.
